Job Duties
* Write at least one blog a week for our U.S. website, targeted at an United States audience
* Conduct regular keyword research to optimize on-page SEO for written content
* Create outlines and write drafts for lead magnets - 10-30+ page documents to support value-driven marketing campaigns
* Write guest blogs and pitch them to other blogs in Virtudesk’s niche
* Write other original content to be pitched to other domains for backlinks
* Write copy for presentations and slide decks used for conferences and webinars
* Write copy for ads captions
* Master best practices for writing benefit-driven and action-oriented headlines, subheads, copy, and CTAs
* Collaborate with other members in the marketing team including other copywriters and the design team
* Overall, help push and advocate for our brand’s voice and tone
* Execute other copywriting tasks as needed
Qualifications
* 1-2 years writing and speaking fluent English
* Bachelor’s degree
* 2+ years experience as a Copywriter or Content Strategist
* 1-2 years experience with long form writing including blogs, guides, and ebooks in American writing style
* 1+ years of SEO content writing experience
* Takes initiative and contributes original ideas
* Provides solutions and strategizes when campaign results are lower than expected
* Has problem solving and critical thinking skills
* Has the ability to analyze data and improve results
* Has the ability to eloquently articulate their thoughts
* Skilled at changing and adapting their writing tone and voice to cater different audiences
* Ability to learn and keep up in a fast-paced environment
* Open-minded to changing responsibilities as company’s needs change
* Has the ability to course correct and adapt one’s marketing strategies if not seeing desired results
Preferred Skills and Job Responsibilities:
* Provide necessary writing trainings to other team members on a need-basis, including writing training docs on writing best practices and having 1-on-1 sessions with team members
* Act as a first approver of written work
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience teaching English as a second language
* Experience working with SEMrush or other SEO tool
* Bachelors or Masters degree in Communications and/or English
